A Riverhead father was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated with his 11-month-old son in the car on Saturday night.
According to Southold Town police, a report was received of an errratic driver heading eastbound on Sound Avenue at approximately 6:58 p.m. on Saturday.
Police said they observed Marco Boch, 22, of Riverhead, driving a 1993 Toyota and failing to maintain his designated lane. He was stopped and found to be intoxicated, police allege.
During the investigation, police determined that Boch's 11-month-old son was in the car.
Boch was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated, endangering the welfare of a child, and a violation of Leandra's Law -- operating a motor vehicle in an intoxicated condition with a child in the car.
Boch was processed at Southold Town Police headquarters and held for Sunday morning arraignment.
The baby was returned to his mother.
