Cops: Riverhead Woman Nabbed for Selling Methadone Pills

Riverhead police aid Suffolk County cops in narcotics investigation.

The following information was supplied by the Riverhead Police Department. A criminal charge is only an accusation, and does not indicate convictions.

A Riverhead woman was arrested by Riverhead and Suffolk County Police on Thursday in suspicion of selling methadone pills, police said on Friday. 

According to Lt. Bob Peeker of the Riverhead Police Department, Amy Filomena, 36, was arrested on charges of criminal sale of a controlled substance in the second degree, a class AII felony.

The arrest reportedly took place near Filomena's home on Harrison Avenue. 

According to police, Riverhead assisted Suffolk County cops in the narcotics investigation.

Following the arrest, Filomena was processed and held for arraignment, and taken to Suffolk County Correctional Facility where she was held in leiu of $50,000 bail.
