Cops: Flanders Man Busted After Assault Outside Diner

The victim was taken to the hospital for treatment, police said.

Two men were arrested Sunday after an assault in the parking lot of the Hampton Bays Diner, police said.

According to Southampton Town police, two diner employees — a Flanders resident, 32, and an Amityville resident, 23 —  were arrested after police said the two men had assaulted a victim, who sustained injuries.

The victim was treated on the scene by the Hampton Bays Volunteer Ambulance taken to Southampton Hospital for further medical attention.

Both diner employees were charged with assault in the third degree, a misdemeanor, police said. They were transported to the Southampton Town police Headquarters for arrest and processing and were released on an appearance tickets to appear in the Southampton Justice Court at a later date.
