Cops: Woman Found Dead At Local Motel, No Foul Play Suspected
An investigation is ongoing, police said.
A woman's body was found at the Greenview Inn in Riverhead on Sunday but although the investigation is ongoing, detectives said it appears no foul play is suspected.
According to detectives, the body of a Riverhead woman, 41, was discovered by management Sunday afternoon at the motel, located on West Main Street at 12:22 p.m.
The Suffolk County Medical Examiner's office was also called to the scene, police said; while the investigation is ongoing, police said the death is believed to be non-criminal in nature.
An autopsy will be conducted by the Suffolk County Medical Examiner's office to determine the exact cause of death, police said.
