Crimes Nearby: Boat Motor, Tools & More Stolen From North Sea Home

MILLER PLACE-ROCKY POINT

• Jose Garcia Jr., 24, of Farmingdale, was arrested April 4 in Miller Place and charged with fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a felony. According to police, Garcia was found to be in possession of over 500 milligrams of cocaine at 12:25 a.m. on Route 25A in Miller Place.

• Matthew Grillo, 41, of Mt. Sinai, was arrested April 2 on three counts of third-degree criminal mischief, a felony. According to police, Grillo slashed the tires of five separate cars on Tarpon Avenue in North Bellport on different occasions. He allegedly also poured paint on the hood of one of the cars.

SOUTHAMPTON 

• A Franklin Square man told police on April 6 that sometime since March 1, someone entered a Island Creek Road house in Southampton and took a tool bag filled will numerous tools valued at $1,000, some copper piping, a Mercury boat motor valued at $2,000 and three ratchet tool sets, valued at $130. According to the incident report, a large cinder block was thrown through a sliding glass door to gain entry, and the copper piping was taken from basement plumbing.

Police stated in a separate incident report that while canvassing the neighborhood in reference to the Island Creek Road burglary, it was discovered that another house on the same street had been broken into. Copper piping was taken from the hot water heater in the shed of the property.

EAST HAMPTON

• The woman arrested after police said she led them on a high speed chase as she drove a gunshot victim from East Hampton to Southampton Hospital in late May 2012, found herself back in handcuffs last week.

Kimberly Delrio is being held at the Suffolk County jail in Riverside on $500 bail, after she was arrested on a bench warrant at Family Court in Riverhead on April 5. According to East Hampton Village police, Delrio didn't show up for court back in January, and the judge issued a warrant for her arrest.

Delrio, who was living in Springs last year, now lives in Clifton, NJ, according to her arrest report.

Chief Jerry Larsen said it is her second bench on this case. East Hampton Town Justice Lisa R. Rana issued a bench warrant for her in December 2012, and she was arrested, but just a month later she failed to appear, again.
