Drug Task Force Nabs Alleged Drug Dealer in Flanders

After long-term drug investigation, police find Flanders man with two handguns, police say.

A 30-year-old Flanders man whom police said was selling large amounts of heroin and cocaine is being held without bail after a bust on Friday morning.

Following a long-term narcotics investigation, the Suffolk County District Attorney’s East End Drug Task Force executed a search warrant at Faustino Juarez's house on Riverside Avenue and took him into custody at 6:20 a.m.

A large quantity of cocaine, heroin and cash were recovered along with two handguns and other evidence, according to his arrest report from the Southampton Town police.

Suffolk County District Attorney's office did not immediately return a request for comment.

Juarez was charged with major felonies including criminal sale of controlled substance in the first-degree — based on a weight of two ounces or more — and four counts of criminal sale of controlled substance in the second degree — which is based on one ounce or more.

He was also charged with possession of a controlled substance in the first degree, third degree, and fourth degree, all felonies, as well as criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree, a misdemeanor, and two counts of criminal use of drug paraphernalia in the second degree, both misdemeanors.

For the handguns that were allegedly discovered in his possession, he was charged with criminal possession of a weapon in the third degree and second degree, both felonies.
