Firefighters On Scene of Trail Fire in Manorville

Smoke can be smelled from Chapman Avenue, passerby say.

The Manorville Fire Department was on the scene of a trail fire at Chapman Boulevard and Papermill Road on Easter Sunday.

According to Manorville Fire Department's First Assistant Fire Chief Howard Snow, fire department volunteers responded to the scene at approximately 3:50 p.m. to a fire on the trails in the area.

Snow said he did not believe the event was a major brush fire.

Passerby said smoke could be smelled from Chapman Avenue; firetrucks were observed headed to the scene.
