Town Police Log: DWI, Criminal Mischief

Jose Arriaza, 35, of Riverhead was arrested early on Nov. 6 at the corner of Flanders Road and Kirk Avenue in Riverside and charged with DWI, a misdemeanor. Arriaza was stopped around 2 a.m. for unsafely passing another vehicle and speeding when police discovered he was intoxicated, police said.

Criminal Mischief

A 55-year-old man from Water Mill told Town Police that sometime between 2 p.m. on Oct. 23 and 9 a.m. on Oct. 27 someone took his Starcraft aluminum boat, another boat and a motor, altogether worth $1,600, from his property on Maple Avenue in Flanders. Police are investigating.
