Flanders Man Charged With Circumventing Interlock Device

Police said the defendant's vehicle was seized.

A Flanders man was arrested and charged with circumvention of an interlock device, police said.
According to Southampton Village Police, Robert A. DeLeon-Cojon, 23, of Flanders was arrested on March 14 at 8:09 a.m. on Dale Street in Southampton Village.
Police said DeLeon-Cojon was stopped for a vehicle and traffic violation and found to be operating a vehicle that did not have an interlock device; a requirement after a prior driving while intoxicated charge, police said.
DeLeon-Cojon was charged with aggravated unlicensed operations in the second degree and circumvention of an interlock device, both misdemeanors.
His vehicle was seized as per the Suffolk County vehicle seizure law, police said. DeLeon-Cojon was processed and released after posting $200 bail.
