Flanders Man Charged With Threatening A Victim

Southampton arrest reports through Jan. 14.

DWI

โ€ข On Jan. 13 at 3 a.m. police charged Juan Guazhamo-Ortiz, 23, of Riverhead with DWI, a misdemeanor. Police said Guazhamo-Ortiz was pulled over on Flanders Road in Flanders for driving on the shoulder, failure to dim headlights, moving unsafely from a lane and speeding. Police report Guazhamo-Ortiz had bloodshot eyes, was unsteady on her feet and his breath smelled of alcohol.

Criminal Contempt

โ€ข A Flanders man was charged with a felony count of criminal contempt in the first degree on Jan. 12 at 11:30 a.m. Police say Lennox Edwards, 42, made a threatening statement to a victim who was protected under an order of protection. Edwards was additionally charged with harassment in the second degree, a violation.

Drugs

A 19-year-old Flanders woman was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana on Dec. 29 after police pulled her over on Flanders Road in Riverside. Police report she had the drug hidden in a Marlboro cigarette pack with a roach.
