Southampton Town Police detectives arrested Anthony Lloyd Pendelton, 17, of Flanders on Sunday at 10:39 p.m. and charged him with allegedly sexually abusing a five-year-old girl.
Police say the incident occurred on Saturday at a Flanders residence; Pendleton was charged with sexual abuse in the first degree, a class "D" felony, two counts of criminal sexual acts in the first degree, "B" felonies, and endangering the welfare of a child, a misdemeanor.
Police released no further information about the incident.
The defendant was remanded to the Suffok County Jail in lieu of $20,000.00 bail.
Police did not release any further information due to the sensitive nature of the alleged crime.
