Flanders Woman Reports Fraudulent Credit Card Charge From Fake Firm

Also recently reported to Southampton Town police, woman reports theft of stereo equipment from her car.

Recent crimes and suspicious incidents reported to the Southampton Town Police Department:

Grand Larceny

• A Flanders woman complained to police Oct. 14 that $1,935.39 was charged to her credit card by a Pennsylvania law firm that apparently doesn’t exist. Investigators advised the woman to change her credit card information in order to avoid further charges and are looking into the matter.

Petty Larceny

• In Flanders Oct. 13, a man who lives on Pine Avenue said someone removed a metal latch from his gate. The value of the latch is estimated to be $15.

• A Flanders woman who left her unlocked Ford Explorer parked at the Express Muffler and Lube on County Road 104 in Riverside Oct. 13 told police that a radio, amplifier and stereo equalizer were stolen from her vehicle. The owner of the business told the woman that her will replace the equipment.
