Man Stabbed at Laundromat, Drives Himself to Hospital

The following information was supplied by the Riverhead Town Police Department.

A man reported on Feb. 19 being stabbed in an altercation at Laundry Palace on Route 58.

According to Riverhead Police, the man who was stabbed said two Hispanic males who he did not know attempted to steal his cell phone, and during the altercation stabbed him in the back.

The victim drove himself to Peconic Bay Medical Center after he was stabbed, reports indicate. Police are investigating the incident.

An employee of Bed, Beth and Beyond said that on Feb. 19, a man took two coffee machines and three boxes of coffee, valued at $339, from the store. The store manager was able to recover the goods, but the subject fled the scene.

On Feb. 20, police reports indicate that an employee of Bath and Body Works said that a black female with black/brown/blond dread locks, wearing a black trench coat, took 20 candles from the store and fled. The candles' estimated value was $390.
