Incident Report: Stolen Golf Cart Found in Florida
A golf cart reported stolen from East Wind Caterers over a year and a half ago was found in Florida last week.
Florida State Police informed Riverhead Police last week that a golf cart, reported stolen from East Wind Caterers in July of 2010, was recovered in Alachua County, Fla.
According to police reports, a Yamaha golf cart valued at $3,000 was reported stolen from East Wind's maintenance shed on July 16, 2010. The golf cart was described as a white, two-person cart that ran on gas. A search of the area came up with no results and town detectives were notified.
Fast forward 19 months to March 3, 2012, and a Florida highway patrol officer reported recovering the same golf cart reported missing over a year and a half ago. Town detectives are investigating the incident.

Employees at Ford Lincoln Mercury reported the morning of March 3 that someone had entered a 2012 Ford Explorer and removed the seats, panels, and console. The damage was estimated at $5,000.

On March 4, two separate incidents of stolen GPS systems were reported on Ellen Street. One individual claimed a black Garmin had been stolen, and another said a Tom Tom was stolen from his or her car.
