Riverside Woman Reports Being Assaulted, Cut By Candle Holder
Also reported to Southampton Town police recently, a Flanders woman reported a bag with $1900 worth of possessions gone after Hurricane Sandy.
Crimes and suspicious incidents recently reported to the Southampton Town Police Department:
Assault
• In Riverside Dec. 1, a woman reported that a dispute broke out at a residence on Vail Avenue during which she was struck by another woman with a candle holder. The complainant, said police, sustained cuts to her head from the assault. No arrests related to the incident were reported.

Grand Larceny
• A Flanders woman who was evacuated from her home during Hurricane Sandy in October reported Nov. 24 that a bag she left on her driveway was missing when she returned to the property. An assortment of sweaters, make-up, pajamas, and other personal items were in the bag, with an estimated value of $1,900, she told police.

• A truck was reported stolen from the parking lot of the Garden Deli in Flanders Nov. 29. Police said the truck was unlocked and the keys were inside.
Criminal Mischief
• A Riverhead woman told police Nov. 26 that someone punctured a tire on her vehicle that had been parked on Speonk-Riverhead Road in Northampton.
