Incident Reports: Woman Says Man Struck Her and then Fled

Also this week, a Flanders resident said someone dumped old tires on church property.

Crimes and suspicious incidents recently reported to the Southampton Town Police Department in Riverside and Flanders.

Petty Larceny

• A Riverside resident told police on June 12 that someone stole a computer from his living room, which he shares with six other people. The computer is valued at $600.

• A resident of Flanders Road reported to police on June 8 that someone dumped numerous old tires in the parking lot of a church located on Flanders Road.

Attempted Robbery

• A Flanders resident called police on June 15 after she said someone hit her her face while she leaned into her car, which was parked in her driveway in Flanders. The woman told police the man then fled on foot. Flanders EMT and Riverhead K-9 patrol responded, but could not find anyone in the area. The woman was taken by ambulance to Peconic Bay Medical Center for treatment.
