A two car accident on Northville Turnpike and Route 58 caused traffic delays on Route 58 in Riverhead Thursday and sent one woman to the hospital.
Riverhead Town police said that an accident between two cars, driven by Candice King and Christopher Lecesse, occurred just before 4 p.m.
King was brought to Peconic Bay Medical Center for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries, officials said; King's children, who were in the car, were uninjured and were with their mother in the emergency room Thursday afternoon, authorities added.
Police said no serious injuries were reported; traffic was moving slowly immediately after the accident.
