Police: Baiting Hollow Teen Charged in Gunpoint Robbery

The investigation is ongoing, police said.

A Baiting Hollow teen has been charged in a gunpoint robbery that took place in Flanders, police said.

According to Southampton Town police, on Jan. 4 at 7:17 p.m., a Flanders resident was walking near Oak Avenue and McKinley Avenue in Flanders when he was robbed by force.  

Police said a vehicle stopped and a man exited and pointed what appeared to be a black handgun at the victim while demanding his valuables.

The victim was able to wrestle the gun away, police said, but a second suspect from the car was able to take his wallet and cell phone.

On Jan. 30, Southampton Town police detectives arrested Roger Foster, 17, of Baiting Hollow and charged him with robbery in the second degree, a felony.
