Police: Bank Robbery Suspect Arrested

An East Quogue man was arrested on Saturday in connection with the robbery of the Capital One bank on Friday.

An East Quogue man who police said  bank on Route 58 on Friday was arrested on County Road 39 in Southampton on Saturday at about 6 p.m., according to Riverhead Police.

Caleb Christiansen, 22, was arrested with the help of the Southampton Town Police, the State Police and the Southampton Village Police, according to the Riverhead department.

Christiansen was charged with third degree robbery and taken to Riverhead police headquarters for arraignment.

Christiansen allegedly approached a teller at the bank with a note demanding money, according to police reports. He was given an undetermined amount of cash and fled on foot in an unknown direction, police said.
