Police: Dog Stolen From Aquebogue Puppy Store

The following information was supplied by the Riverhead Town Police Department. A criminal charge is only an accusation and does not indicate guilt.

A 22-year-old Ridge man was arrested on Feb. 2 on felony burglary charges in relation to an incident that happened in September of last year. According to police reports, a Karen Court resident reported on Sept. 7 that someone had broken numerous doors at the residence and and removed a safe later located by Suffolk County Police. Following an investigation, Sean Buckman, 22, was arrested at his girlfriend's house in Coram. He was arrested on charges of burglary in the second degree, transported to the Suffolk County Jail, and held for a morning arraignment.

Jasmine Ann Stephens, 19, of East Hampton, was arrested with a 17-year-old East Hampton teen on Feb. 1 on grand larceny charges after they allegedly stole a $2,500 dog from The Puppy Experience in Aquebogue. According to reports, the owner of the shop reported to police that two females took the dog from the Route 25 shop without paying for it and fled in a car westbound on Route 25. The car was reportedly stopped on Osborn Avenue near Pulaski Street. They were transported to police headquarters, the two were released on $50 bail each, and the dog was returned.
