Police: Man Arrested on Felony DWI Charges After Chase Ends in Riverside

Coram man arrested after allegedly fleeing police from Quogue.

A Coram man was arrested early Sunday morning in Riverside on felony DWI charges after he fled Quogue Village Police.

According to police reports, Sean Bumstead, 28, of Coram, was arrested at the traffic circle in Riverside after a chase that began on Montauk Highway in Quogue.

Police said they spotted Bumstead speeding, attempted to pull him over, and he proceeded to speed through Westhampton Beach to Riverside.

He was arrested on felony DWI charges because of a prior conviction within the past ten years, reckless driving, unlawful fleeing of a police officer, and third degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.
