Police: Mom Called Cops On Son For Taking Car

The following information was supplied by the Riverhead Town Police Department. A criminal charge is only an accusation, and does not indicate convictions.
Riverhead Town Police responded to a call on June 13 at 3:05 p.m. from a Doctors Path resident who said that her son had taken her car without her permission. Prior to the arrival of police at her home, officers observed the vehicle heading northbound on Doctors Path. Officers determined that Paul T. Booker, 33, was wanted by Riverhead Town Police on an outstanding arrant and arrested him; the defendant was also charged with operating the vehicle without a license.The car was returned to Booker's mother.

Riverhead Town Police said they received a call on June 18 at approximately 5:37 p.m. from an individual at the Treasure Cove Resort Marina on East Main Street, stating that an unknown male wearing a black hoodie had been sleeping on the dock for a number of nights and had been swiping beer and food from coolers on boats. The subject was gone prior to the arrival of police. An extra patrol was requested in the area after midnight.

Riverhead Town Police were called to the Citgo Gas station on West Main Street after a customer got into a dispute with an atendant after she alleged he charged her a higher price for gas than what was listed outside. The customer said she was charged $3.79, not $3.59, per gallon on her $50 purchase. The attendant allegedly told her that the receipt was wrong and she should not worry. The customer said she would check her credit card statement.
