Police Report: Drug Possession, DWI, Harassment

A list of recent crime activity as reported by the Riverhead Police Department.

The following information was supplied by the Riverhead Police Department. A criminal charge is only an accusation, and does not indicate convictions.

Rashawn Lamb, 25, of Flanders, was arrested on April 5 on charges of driving while ability impaired by drugs. According to police reports, police responded to the scene of an accident reported on the Northville Turnpike around 1:20 p.m. At that time, Lamb was arrested, transported to police headquarters, processed and held for arraignment. 

Daniel Oliva, 36, of Riverhead, was arrested on April 5 on charges of D.W.I. and aggravated unlicensed operation in the first degree. He was transported to police headquarters, processed and held until his arraignment.

Anthony Cannon, 47, of Wyandanch, was arrested on April 8 on charges of criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree and an outstanding Suffolk County Police Department warrant. Police reports state that Cannon was picked up by police as a suspicious person, at which time he was arrested on an outstanding warrant. After Cannon was transported to police headquarters, an inventory search reportedly revealed that he was in possession of crack cocaine in his front sweatshirt pocket. A field test allegedly confirmed the presence of cocaine in the substance. Cannon was processed and held for arraignment.

Ronelle Pringle, 30, and Sheniqua Gholson, 29, both of Greenport, were arrested on April 9 on charges of petit larceny. According to police reports, a civilian complaint was filed reporting that Pringle removed $67.68 worth of merchandise and Gholson removed $53.23 worth of merchandise from the store without paying. Both were arrested, transported to police headquarters, processed and released on desk appearance tickets.

Rolando David Garcia, 23, was arrested on April 10 on charges of harassment in the second degree. Police reports state that a female reported a domestic incident during which Garcia slapped her in the face and pushed her into the door. The owner of the property, who reportedly lived upstairs, said he heard an argument downstairs and removed Garcia from the home. Police said they later found Garcia at a gas station and brought him back to the incident location. He was arrested on a civilian arrest, processed and held for arraignment.
