Police Report: DWI, Unlawful Possession of Marijuana

A list of recent crime activity as reported by the Riverhead Police Department.

Christine Oelsner, 43, of Aquebogue, was arrested on June 1 on charges of DWI-drugs. According to police, Oelsner was observed driving a Jeep Liberty on East Main Street around 8:30 a.m. She reportedly failed to use a signal and crossed over a double yellow line into the westbound lane. Police said that after a traffic stop Oelsner was unsteady on her feet and slurred her speech. She was arrested and charged with DWI-drugs, along with other vehicle and traffic violations. She was processed and held for arraignment.

Anthony Francis, 28, of Riverhead, was arrested on June 13 on charges of criminal contempt in the first degree and unlawful possession of marijuana. Police said they observed Francis verbally abusing – restraining a female from leaving a room at the Greenview Inn on West Main Street. The woman reportedly said he had taken her keys, keeping her from going to work. Police reports state that Francis said she had taken a chip from his camera and he wanted it back. Police allegedly found that Francis was violating an order of protection placed in effect on May 31, 2011. As Francis was being placed under arrest, police said they found five small bags of marijuana in his possession. He was transported to police headquarters and processed for arraignment.

Chrisitopher Citera, 25, of Yaphank, was arrested on June 15 on charges of aggravated unlicensed operation in the second degree. He was transported to headquarters and released on $100 cash bail.

A Wading River minor was arrested for harassment in the second degree on June 16. Police reports state that a female said the teen punched her multiple times in the face, causing a minor injury to her upper lip. The teen was transported to police headquarters for processing and held for morning arraignment.
