Police Report: East End Drug Task Force Arrest

A list of recent crime activity as reported by the Riverhead Police Department

Deborah Poetzch, 52, of Riverhead, was arrested on Feb. 26 on charges of driving while intoxicated. According to police reports, Poetzch was involved in a motor vehicle accident with another vehicle on Wading River-Manorville Road. Police responded and whe was subsequently arrested for DWI. She was processed and held for morning arraignment. 

Pablo Pelaez Cordova, 46, of Riverhead, was arrested on Feb. 27 on petit larceny charges. According to police reports, Cordova removed two pairs of pants and one shirt from KMart on Old Country Road. He was transported to police headquarters, processed, arraigned and released on $500 bail. 

Meghan Kearns, 28, of Ridge, was arrested on petit larceny charges on Feb. 27. Police said that a civilian called police and reported that a female had removed three paids of jeans from the store without paying for them. Upon police arrival, a woman reportedly matching the description given was located in the parking lot near the store, where she was last seen fleeing. Kearns was arrested on a civilian complaint, tranpsorted to headquarters for processing, and released on $100 bail.

Albert Trotman, 21, of Riverhead, was arrested on Feb. 28, charged with 2 counts of criminal sale of a controlled substance in the third degree. Reports state that Trotman was taken into custody without incident. His arrest stemmed from an East End Drug Task Force investigation.

None of the defendants have been convicted of a crime, but were arrested for the charges listed above. They are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
