Police Report: Guns, Ammunition Found at Mall

The following arrest information was supplied by the Riverhead Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Tyrone Ford, 34, of Westhampton Beach, was arrested on May 27 on charges of driving while ability impaired, reckless driving, fleeing a police officer in a vehicle, and resisting arrest. According to police reports, Ford led police on a pursuit and was caught after he fled on foot. Ford reportedly resisted arrest two times. He was transported to police headquarters, processed and held for arraignment.

Roger Anderson, 45, of Quogue, was arrested on May 28 on charges of harassment in the second degree. According to police reports, a female reported that Anderson held her down and slapped her, causing bruising to her right eye and forearms. Anderson was transported to police headquarters, processed, and held for arraignment.

A Lindenhurst man reported on May 29 finding a bag full of guns and ammunition at Tanger Outlet Mall. Police reports state that the man ran over a bag while driving his car. After pulling over and retrieving the bag, he found one Hi-Point 9MM, seven Winchester 9MM Luger rounds, one magazine and one lunch bag. The property was turned over to the police.

Shawn Miles, 21, of Riverhead, was arrested on charges of criminal contempt in the first degree on May 31. Police reports state that a female reported having an argument with Miles, during which she reported Miles pushed her and slapped her in the face, causing annoyance and alarm. Miles was reportedly in violation of an order of protection. He was arrested, processed, and held for arraignment.
