Police Report: Marijuana Possession, Graffiti

A list of recent crime activity as reported by the Riverhead Police Department.

A Riverhead juvenile was arrested on charges of unlawful possession of marijuana on Nov. 16. According to reports, the juvenile was observed by Riverhead High School's Assistant Principal with a small Ziploc bag containing marijuana in her pocketbook. When interviewed by a police officer, the juvenile reportedly admitted to possessing marijuana. She was taken to headquarters, processed, arraigned, and released on her own recognizance.

Adam Pressie, 32, of Jamesport, was arrested on Nov. 18 and charged with harassment in the 2nd degree. Reports stats that Pressie punched his girlfriend in the leg in the midst of a dispute. The woman allegedly signed a civilian complaint, at which point Pressie was arrested, transported to headquarters, processed and held for arraignment.

Shonda Barnard, 39, of Riverhead, was arrested on Nov. 23 on petit larceny charges. According to reports, loss prevention at Wal-Mart reported that Barnard removed $308 of assorted clothing from the store without permission to do so or paying. Upon being arrested and processed, police reportedly found an active bench warrant for Barnard. She was processed, arraigned, and transported to Suffolk County Correctional Facility.

Mark Good, 18, of Brooklyn, was arrested on Nov. 26 on charges of petit larceny. Reports state that an employee of Saks 5th Avenue OFF FIFTH reported Good had removed three hats valued at $149 from the store without paying for them. Good was arrested on a civilian arrest, transported, processed, and released on an appearance ticket.

Montaigne Henderson, 18, of Flanders, was arrested on Nov. 27 on charges of criminal mischief in the 3rd degree, making graffiti, and possession of graffiti instruments. Reports state that police responded to a call about a person making graffiti at J and H Transfer Company on Old Country Road. Upon police arrival, a black male was allegedly seen painting tags a trailer. Henderson fled on foot and was reportedly apprehended soon after with the aid of New York State Police.

None of the defendants have been convicted of a crime, but were arrested for the charges listed above. They are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
