Police Seek Public's Help to Find Men Behind Assault, Robbery in Riverhead

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and the Riverhead Police Department are seeking the public’s assistance to locate and identify two men who assaulted and robbed another man in Riverhead earlier this week.

On Sunday, April 13, at approximately 12:45 p.m., two men robbed a male victim who was walking on Osborne Avenue near the Long Island Rail Road tracks, police said.  

The victim was then dragged to an area west of Marcy Avenue, where he was physically assaulted, police said. The attackers fled on foot and were last seen near Pulaski Street, police said.

The attackers are described as black males in their mid-30s with a medium build with short black hair, police said. One was wearing all black and the other was wearing a white shirt and blue jeans. 

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS or call the Riverhead Police Department at 631-727-4500 Ext. 289. All calls will be kept confidential.
