Police Seek Stabbing Suspect After Friday Night Incident at Polish Hall

Four stabbed Friday night near Polish Hall; stabbing suspect remains at large.

After four victims were stabbed on Saturday night near the Polish Hall at the corner of Pulaski Street and Mercy Avenue, Riverhead Police are looking for a thin Hispanic male standing approximately 5 feet 4 inches tall.

According to police, witnesses said that after a party at the Polish Hall on Friday night, "a fight erupted between several subjects which led to someone pulling out a knife and stabbing several others."

The individual suspected of stabbing was described as a thin Hispanic male in his early 20s. He was reportedly wearing a white t-shirt when he was last seen, running northbound on Mercy Avenue.

Police were unable to locate the individual on Friday night.

The four stabbing victims were treated at Peconic Bay Medical Center. Anyone with information about the indicent is asked to call the Riverhead Police Department at 641-727-4500 ext. 289.
