Police: Woman Stopped for Seat Belt Violation Arrested on Drug Charges

Southampton's 'click it or ticket' campaign yields unlicensed operation, drug charges.

Just over a week after Southampton Police launched a "click it or ticket" campaign to keep an eye on drivers and car passengers riding without safety belts, an East Moriches woman was stopped in Riverside on Wednesday for failing to wear hers, and subsequently arrested on drug and unlicensed operation charges, according to Southampton Police.

Danielle D. Price, 32, was pulled over around 10:15 on Tuesday morning while driving northbound on Peconic Avenue. Police said they found Price's license was suspended, at which point she was arrested and transported to Southampton Police headquarters.

Price was charged with no seat belt, aggravated unlicensed operation in the third degree, unregistered motor vehicle, and criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree. She was held for arraignment.
