Riverhead Man Charged With Cocaine Possession

Southampton Police reports through Nov. 12.

Drug Arrests 

• Anthony Jenkins, 47, of Riverhead, was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor on Nov. 10 at 1:00 a.m. after he was seen on Flanders Road riding a bicycle without lights. Upon investigation, say police, Jenkins was found to be in possession of a quantity of cocaine. 

Criminal Possession of Stolen Property

•Joe McKay, 65, of Riverhead, was charged with criminal possession of stolen property, a misdemeanor, after he was found to have pawned stolen jewelry at a store in Riverside. The arrest was made Nov. 3 at 1:50 p.m. in Riverside. 


Criminal Contempt

•Mark Kwasnik, 62, of Flanders, was arrested Nov. 9 at 12:42 a.m. and charged with criminal contempt second degree, a misdemeanor, after police say Kwasnik violated an order of protection that was issued to keep him away from his girlfriend who lives on Evergreen Road in Flanders. Kwasnik was arrested on that road.
