Riverhead Man Charged With Criminal Impersonation

Police impounded the defendant's vehicle.

A Riverhead man was arrested and charged with criminal impersonation, Southampton Village Police said.

According to police, on Dec. 13 at 3:44 p.m., Oscar R. Canel, 20, of Riverhead, was arrested and charged with criminal impersonation in the second degree and aggravated unlicensed operations in the second degree, both misdemeanors.

His vehicle was impounded and he was released after posting $250 bail.
