Riverhead Police Announce Road Closures

Hurricane Sandy has rendered a list of roads impassable.

The Riverhead Police Department has closed a number of town roads due to flooding. Here's a list of roads that are closed.

Riverhead Town Supervisor Sean Walter declared a state of emergency Sunday; a town shelter has been set up at Riverhead High School for those who need to evacuate.

Hubbard Avenue, west of Shade Tree Lane

Creek Road

Peconic Riverfront parking lot

Peconic Avenue

Meetinghouse Creek Road

Reeves Creek Bridge

Sun Up Trail

Roanoke Avenue north of Reeves

Washington Avenue

Peconic Bay Boulevard between Washington Avenue and Meetinghouse Creek Road

Town Beach Road

Bay Avenue

Ock A Bock Terrace

Peconic Bay Boulevard
