Riverhead Woman Arrested on Leandra's Law Charges

According to police a Riverhead woman was driving while intoxicated with a child under age 15 in the car.

Riverhead Police arrested a Riverhead woman on DWI charges under Leandra's Law early Thursday morning.

Ranisha Pendleton, 28, was stopped around 2 a.m. after police said she failed to maintain her lane while driving westbound on Route 58. Upon investigation, police said they found a one-year-old child to be in the car.

She was charged with DWI/Leandra's Law, transported to police headquarters, processed and held for morning arraignment.
