Sheriffs: Riverhead Man Drove Drunk on Wrong Side of L.I.E.

Eric Jones, 20, arrested on three D.W.I. counts early Sunday morning.

The Suffolk County Sheriff's Office reported on Monday that a Riverhead man was pulled over early Sunday morning on the Long Island Expressway for driving drunk on the wrong side of the highway.

The Sheriff's Office said it started receiving calls around 2:45 a.m. on Sunday that a dark sport utility vehicle was traveling eastbound in the westbound lanes around exit 68.

Deputies reportedly boxed in Eric Jones, 20, to force him to the side of the highway without driving into oncoming traffic.
