A Middle Island man reported on Jan. 21 that a green sedan sideswiped him on County Road 94 in Riverside. The sideswipe, the man reported, made his vehicle spin out of control. Police report they searched the area or the green car, but were unable to locate it.

A Flanders man reported to Southampton Police that someone stole his radio and an amplifier from his car which was parked on Bell Avenue in Flanders. Police say there are no leads or witnesses at this time.

A Riverhead woman reported to police on Jan. 27 that her 2000 Dodge/Plymouth Neon was damaged while parked on Cypress Avenue in Flanders. The woman said both the passenger windows and front and back door had been smashed. Police say no evidence was found at the scene and there are no leads at this time.
