Incident Report: 150 Tires Dropped on Jamesport, Aquebogue Roadsides

Grand Larceny

A Riverside resident reported that someone broke into his car and stole a number of items, including a Calvin Klein coat, valued at $200, a wallet, valued at $50, driver's license and credit cards.

On Feb. 8, a resident of Stephen Drive in Riverhead reported that a $4,000 Suzuki quad was stolen from the property.

Burglary

A resident of Old Quogue Road in Riverside reported to police on Feb. 8 that someone entered the front door of his basement apartment and stole a 46 inch Toshiba flat screen TV, valued at $1,300 and a Play Station 3, valued at $600.

On Feb. 8, Honda of Riverhead reported that a triton axle and two tires valued at roughly $550 were stolen overnight.

Illegal Dumping

A Jamesport resident reported that between Feb. 8 and Feb. 9, someone dropped about 150 tires at private residences in Jamesport and Aquebogue. They were picked up by the the town's sanitation carter.
