Riverside Man Arrested on Felony Forgery Charges

State Police said a Riverside man was carrying a fake North Carolina drivers' license.

New York State Police arrested a man on Jan. 21 on charges of driving while intoxicated and felony forgery charges.

State Police said in assisting Southampton Town Police in response to a domestic incident, Israel Garcia, 34, of Riverside, was spotted leaving the scene in a blue jeep.

According to reports, Garcia was pulled over and an officer said he detected the smell of alcohol on his breath. Police said he presented a fake North Carolina drivers' license.

He was arrested on charges of criminal possession of a forged instrument in the second degree and DWI, and held in Southampton Town Justice Court for arraignment.
