Southampton Police Log: Underage Woman Charged with DWI

arrest reports for the week of March 12 to March 18:

Roberto Deleon-Cojon, 22, of Flanders, was arrested March 16 and charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated, a misdemeanor, after police said they saw him driving over a curb on Cypress Avenue in Flanders shortly after 10 p.m.

Cops said Deleon-Cojon was driving with an open container of Modello beer in his possession and also had eight suspensions on his driver's license. After failing a breath alcohol test, the man was taken into custody, police said.

He was also charged with felony aggravated unlicensed oepration of a motor vehicle charges in the first degree, and aggravated unlicensed in the second degree, and charges of consuming alcohol in a motor vehicle. He was arraigned and remanded to Suffolk County Jail.

Brittney Grief, 20, of Rocky Point, was arrested early Tuesday morning after police said she was driving while intoxicated. According to police, she was seen failing to maintain her lane of travel while driving on Route 24 in Flanders near Spinney Road. She was charged with DWI, transported to police headquarters, and held for morning arraignment.
