Southampton Police Log: Riverhead Man Charged With Felony DWI

Southampton Police reports from Jan. 16 to Jan. 23.

Drugs

On Tuesday, police charged Raymond Normoyle, 24, of Flanders, with with unlawful possession of marijuana.  Police say they charged Normoyle after stopping him at the intersection of Squiretown Road and Riverhead Road in Hampton Bays for having no stop lights on the car he was driving.

Assault

Police charged Noah Daniels, 40, of Riverhead, with assault in the third degree and for criminal possession of a control substance on Jan. 22 in Quogue. Police say a complaint came in that Daniels struck a man on the side of the face, knocking a tooth loose that had to be extracted. Upon investigation, police said Daniels was in possession of cocaine.

DWI

Police charged Daniel Goodale, 34, of Riverhead, with felony DWI on Jan. 23. According to reports, Goodale was driving his car erratically when police pulled him over. Police said he was intoxicated upon investigation, and because he had a DWI charge within the past 10 years, was charged with a felony. He was held pending arraignment at Southampton Justice Court.
