Southampton Police Report: 3 New Year's DWI Arrests Made

The following information was supplied by the Southampton Town Police Department. A criminal charge is only an accusation and does not indicate guilt.

Southampton Police arrest reports from Dec. 26 to Jan. 1.

DWI

A Sag Harbor resident was arrested on charges of DWI on Flanders Road on New Year's Eve. According to Southampton Police, Judy Clempner, 57, was found unresponsive behind the wheel of a 2002 gray Honda in a no standing zone. Police said she had in the car an open bottle of white wine.

Ronnie Meyers, 42 of Riverhead, was arrested on Sunday at 2:38 a.m. on DWI charges on County Road 105. Meyers, police said, was stopped for failing to maintain his lane. He was charged with driving intoxicated with a BAC of .08, DWI and refusal to submit to an alert test. He was also charged with moving from a lane unsafely and having no plate lamp.

Melissa Romano, 18, of Lido Beach, was charged with DWI on New Year's Eve. According to police, she was stopped at the Peconic Avenue traffic circle for tailgating. She was charged with DWI and following too closely.
