Southampton Police: Riverhead Sex Offender Failed To Report Change of Address

Sheriff's office picked him up on a warrant.

Gregory Smith, 27, of Riverhead, a registered sex offender, was arrested Thursday at 11:07 p.m. on an active warrant for failing to report a change of address, according to Southampton Town Police. The arrest report stated that the Suffolk County Sheriff’s office brought Smith to Southampton Town police headquarters in Hampton Bays after picking him up on the warrant.

Charges are merely accusations. Defendants are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. A name will only be removed if the accused has been acquitted and can provide a certificate of disposition. Contact the editor to make such a request.
