State Police: Drunk Man Busted After Driving Into State Trooper Barracks

The man was charged with a misdemeanor, police said.

A man was charged with driving while intoxicated after he drove his truck into the New York State trooper barracks parking lot in Riverside, police said.

According to New York State police, James Griffin, 47, of Portland, Maine drove his black Dodge pickup truck into the Riverside station parking lot.

Troopers interviewed Griffin and detected the odor of an alcoholic beverage; he failed sobriety tests and was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated, a misdemeanor.

He is due back in Southampton Town justice court on Feb. 12, police said.
