State Police Log: Riverhead Man Caught With Stolen Car

State police also charged 3 with DWI.

Caught with Stolen Property

• On Dec. 31, New York State Police charged Andre Lewis, 41, of Riverhead with criminal possession stolen property in the fourth degree, a felony. Police said Lewis was stopped for vehicle and traffic violations on Lake Avenue in Southampton when police found that the car Lewis was driving was stolen. Lewis is due in Southampton court on Jan. 15 at 1 p.m.

DWI

• On Jan. 1, New York State police charged Stephen R. Guajardo, 32, of Ridge, with DWI, a misdemeanor. Police said they stopped Guajardo for vehicle and traffic violations on State Route 25 in Riverhead. He is due in Riverhead court on Jan. 8 at 9:30 a.m.

• On Jan. 1, Amanda M. Hurrinus, 20, of Wading River, was charged with DWI, a misdemeanor, after she was stopped at a sobriety checkpoint on State Route 25 Riverhead. She is due in Riverhead Court on Jan. 27 at 9:30 a.m.

• On Jan. 5, Thomas Meeker, 24, of Sound Beach, was charged with DWI, a misdemeanor, after he was pulled over for vehicle and traffic violations on Roanoke Avenue in Riverhead. He is due back in Riverhead Court on Jan. 22 at 9:30 a.m.
