Store Clerk Arrested For Illegal Alcohol Sale

A clerk at the Superior Gas store in Aquebogue was arrested for selling alcohol to an underage customer.

A convenience store clerk has been charged with illegally selling alcohol to a child, Riverhead police said on Tuesday. 

Police said Gurdogan Gunacar was selling alcohol to under-age customers from the Superior Gas convenience store in Aquebogue. Police investigated and arrested the 64-year-old Aquebogue resident after hearing a tip about the illegal activity, according to a police report. 

Gunacar was processed and charged with first degree unlawfully dealing with a child. He was released on a desk appearance ticket, according to town police.
