String of Car Break-Ins Reported in Flanders

Car insurance cards stolen from several vehicles.

A string of car break-ins were reported in the Flanders area last week, though police are reportedly unaware if there is any relation to them.

According to police reports, break-ins between May 29 and May 31 were reported on Priscilla Avenue, Riverside Avenue and Flanders Road.

Police reports state that on Priscilla Avenue on May 31 someone broke into a car and stole an insurance card, a BJ's card and a Hotel Transylvania DVD. Another incident on the street between May 30 and May 31 resulted in the theft of an iPod and other accessories, with a value up to $450, reports state.

Someone reported on May 29 on Riverside Avenue that their car insurance card, and a check was stolen from his car, while four green cards, a social security card, a drivers license and medical card were all stolen from another car that night in the area.

Lastly, between May 29 and May 30, three registration/insurance cards, a drivers license and a knapsack from the Gap were stolen from a car parked at a Flanders Road home between 6 p.m. and 6 a.m.

No further information was immediately available about the incidents.
