Town Police Log: Auto Tools Stolen from Riverhead Auto Shop

The following information was supplied by the Riverhead Town Police Department. A criminal charge is only an accusation and does not indicate guilt.

The reports:

• An unknown suspect stole more that $4,000 worth of tools from the Long Island Truck Parts on Main Road, police said. An employee at the auto store said someone took gear wrenches, impact guns and socket sets sometime between Aug. 1 and Nov. 18, according to a police report. Police said they are investigating the incident.

• The store manager at the Donna Karen in the . The manager said three suspects, working together, took the tank tops from the store without paying, but could not provide witnesses. The incident was recorded on surveillance video, according to a police report of the incident. Police said they are investigating.
