Town Police Log: Criminal Contempt, Criminal Mischief
The following information was supplied by the Southampton Town Police Department. A criminal charge is only an accusation and does not indicate guilt.
Criminal Contempt
Rodney Brooks, 24, of Riverhead, was arrested on Oct. 1 at 12:55 a.m. on Flanders Boulevard and charged with second-degree criminal contempt, a misdemeanor. Brooks violated an order of protection by going to a home on Flanders Boulevard earlier that day at 10:21 a.m., according to a police report. Brooks was also arrested at the same location last Monday, Sept. 26 and charged with second-degree harassment, a violation. According to police documents he had a verbal dispute with a woman and threatened her safety.

A 71-year-old man from Flanders told Town Police that someone threw a brick through the passenger side window of his 1997 Chevy Cavalier on Sept. 29 between 1 a.m. and 6:45 a.m. The car was parked at his home on Cypress Avenue in Flanders, according to a police report. Police said they are investigating the incident.
