Town Police Log: DWI and Harrassment

Editor's Note: The following information was supplied by the Riverhead Town Police Department. A criminal charge is only an accusation and does not indicate guilt.

Harrassment

Debra Henderson, 45, of Sound Beach, and Joy Parson, 50, of Riverhead, were arrested on July 31 and charged with multiple offenses resulting from a fight between the two women, police said. Parson told police that Henderson punched her in the face for flirting with her boyfriend, while Henderson said Parson threatened her with a knife and that she punched her to take the knife away, according to the report. Parson also claimed that Henderson stole her cell phone, which police said they found in her car. Henderson told police she stole Parson's cell phone because Parson had stolen hers. Police arrested Parson and charged her with second degree menacing and second degree harrassment, and held her on a $250 bail. Henderson was charged with criminal possession of stolen property and second degree harassment, and was released on $250 bail.
