Town Police Log: DWI, Robbery

DWI:

Frank Setelius, 46, of Middle Island was arrested on Aug. 9 and charged with DWI. Police said they received a report that the man was driving erratically. When police arrived they found the suspect sitting on the ground in the parking lot of Eagle Chevrolet, according to a police report. Police said Setelius failed sobriety tests and refused to take a breath test. Setelius was arrested and held for arraignment. 

Robbery:

Police received a call on Aug. 13 that an unknown taxi driver and his passenger had attempted to rob a customer riding in the cab near the Citgo Gas Station on West Main Street. The customer, who spoke through a translator, claimed the passenger put a knife to his neck and demanded his money. The alleged victim said he ran from the cab when it stopped. Police are investigating the incident.
